Privacy policy
yaomi, operated by Tian Data Services · Last updated July 25, 2026
What this covers
yaomi tailors your resume and cover letter to a job posting. To do that it handles personal information you provide. This policy explains what we collect, how it is stored and protected, how it is processed by the AI model that generates your documents, and the controls you have over it.
We never sell your data
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data — your resume, your documents, your contact details, or your email address — to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it for any purpose other than running yaomi for you. Your data is used only to provide the service you signed up for. Our marketing site measures whether an ad led to a signup, which reports that one happened and never who — see Advertising and measurement.
What we collect
- Your resume and the contents you upload (PDF, Word, or text).
- Your contact card — name, email, phone, and location — used in the header of generated documents.
- Conversation and generated documents — the messages you exchange with the assistant and the resumes and cover letters it produces.
- Your sign-in identity — the email address (and display name, where available) from your Microsoft or Google sign-in, used to authenticate you and keep your data separate from other users'.
- Operational usage events — e.g. when a document is generated or downloaded, plus aggregate counts, associated with your account identifier. These logs do not contain the text of your resume.
- Technical request logs — our hosting platform (Microsoft Azure) records standard web-server telemetry for each request: the address of the page or API endpoint, timing, and error details. We use it to keep the service running and diagnose faults. It is kept for a limited period — currently 30 days — and then deleted.
- Your email address, if you entered it on the marketing site before creating an account. See Before you have an account.
- A review, if you choose to send one — the rating, what you wrote, and the name you asked to be credited by. See Reviews you send us.
Reviews you send us
The account menu has a "Send a review" form. It's entirely optional, nothing prompts you to use it, and not using it changes nothing about your account.
If you do send one, we store your rating, your words, the credit name you typed, and the email address you signed in with. We only publish it if you tick the box saying we may. Leave it unticked and it stays internal feedback that we read and act on but never quote. Ticking it means the words and the credit name may appear on our website — not your email address, which we never publish.
You can change or withdraw a review at any time: submitting again replaces what you said, and emailing info@tiandata.com removes it. If we've already published a quote, tell us and we'll take it down.
Before you have an account
The marketing site (tryyaomi.com) asks for your email address before you sign in, so you can start the free trial. When you submit it we store the address, which page it came from, and the date and time — nothing else. No account exists at that point, so this record isn't attached to one.
We use it for two things: giving you access, and following up with you about yaomi. We don't sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else. To have it removed, email info@tiandata.com and we'll delete the record — you don't need an account to ask.
If you go on to sign in, everything else in this policy applies to your account's data as well.
Advertising and measurement
The marketing site runs Google Ads conversion tracking so we can tell which ads actually bring people to yaomi. When you submit your email there, a conversion event is sent to Google. It does not include your email address, or anything else you typed — only the fact that a signup happened. Google sets its own cookies to do this, and its handling of that data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
The app itself (yaomi.app) carries no advertising or analytics tags at all. The only third party your resume or conversation is ever sent to is Anthropic, as described below.
How your data is stored and protected
- Encrypted at rest. Your files are stored in Azure Blob Storage, which encrypts data at rest (AES-256). The storage is not publicly accessible.
- Encrypted in transit. All traffic to the app and onward to the AI provider is sent over HTTPS/TLS (minimum TLS 1.2).
- Access is authenticated. The app requires you to sign in with a Microsoft or Google account before any of your data is reachable. We never see or store your password.
- Per-user isolation. Each user's data is stored under a namespace tied to their sign-in identity. Only your own profile and conversation are ever sent on your behalf — one user cannot see or access another user's data.
How your data is processed by the AI model
To generate your documents, yaomi sends your conversation (which may include your resume and contact details) to Anthropic's Claude model through the Claude API, governed by Anthropic's Commercial Terms — not the consumer Claude product. The following come directly from Anthropic's published policies:
Your data is not used to train AI models. Anthropic's Privacy Center states:
"By default, we will not use your inputs or outputs from our commercial products to train our models."
and Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service state:
"Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services."
Your data is not exposed publicly or to other customers. It is processed only to generate your response. Anthropic deletes it on a limited schedule:
"we automatically delete inputs and outputs on our backend within 30 days of receipt or generation"
Anthropic retains data longer only where content is flagged for a policy violation (inputs and outputs for up to 2 years, and trust & safety classification scores for up to 7 years) or where required by law.
Your controls
- Export my data — download everything yaomi holds for you (profile, core resume, and your documents) as a zip, from the account menu.
- Delete all my data — permanently erase your profile, documents, conversation, and preferences, from the account menu.
- Reset session — clear the current conversation and drafts while keeping your saved profile and core resume.
- Remove your email from our list — if you entered your address on the marketing site, email info@tiandata.com and we'll delete it. This works whether or not you ever created an account.
